UV flatbed printing directly onto plates:
The EU2-1000MF by Roland DG

Roland DG, a global leader in digital printing solutions, has announced the launch of the EU2-1000MF, a large-format UV flatbed printer that simplifies production on rigid media by enabling direct printing onto panels in high-throughput environments.

The EU2-1000MF has been developed for businesses that produce signage, point-of-sale displays, exhibition materials and interior cladding. Users can go directly from the file to the finished board product, thereby reducing manual steps and minimising rework. UV flatbed printing directly onto the panel eliminates production steps associated with roll-to-roll printing, lamination and laminating.

The EU2-1000MF has been developed for daily, production-scale panel printing and offers a flatbed solution for businesses processing rigid signage, display panels and decorative applications. The EU2-1000MF supports media formats of up to 1,120 × 2,440 mm and materials with a thickness of up to 95 mm as standard, and is suitable for flatbed printers and screen printers. Equipped with a high-resolution print head, the EU2-1000MF offers approximately 1.5 times the productivity of its predecessor, the EU-1000MF.

Despite the improved performance, the price remains unchanged from the previous model. “With the EU2-1000MF, we wanted to help print shops simplify the processing of rigid materials,” says Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer of the Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG. “By moving directly from the file to the finished plate, users can reduce manual steps, improve consistency and increase throughput – all whilst maintaining the consistent, reproducible quality required for daily production.”
