Camera recognition as a key element in automated post-print processing
Camera systems for contour-accurate cutting of printed materials have long been established. The next step is therefore not simply better recognition, but the consistent automation of the processes that follow.
With POSITION+ professional, eurolaser scans the entire working area within seconds. The system detects registration marks and contours, supports pattern matching and can automatically generate and position the appropriate cutting data – even when no job data is available. This significantly reduces preparation time, particularly when handling frequently changing print jobs.
Combined with LaserScout JOBIDENT, the workflow can be automated even further. QR codes on the material enable each production job to be identified and assigned automatically. The corresponding files are loaded automatically and processing begins. Different jobs on different materials can also be processed in sequence.
This turns conventional camera recognition into an integrated digital workflow: detect, assign, generate cutting data and process. The result is fewer manual process steps and a more efficient approach to post-print processing.
