Roland DG has announced the launch of the VersaObject IO-300 and VersaObject RC-300 series. These UV printing solutions are designed to help businesses meet the demand for a wide variety of products and small batch sizes.
The IO-300 offers UV flatbed printing for industrial parts, decorative items and bespoke products on rigid and flexible substrates, whilst the RC-300 series is designed for direct cylinder printing on bottles, cups, drinking vessels, packaging, promotional items and moulded objects.
“Today, businesses need production solutions that can be quickly adapted to changing customer requirements without compromising on quality or profitability,” said Kevin Shigenoya, Executive Officer in the New Business Office at Roland DG. “Although the IO-300 and RC-300 series are designed for different production environments and applications, both help customers respond more quickly to the demand for smaller print runs, greater customisation and shorter turnaround times.”
VersaObject IO-300
Equipped with newly developed print heads, advanced dot control and new UV ink technology, the IO-300 delivers high image quality at production speeds of up to 3.5 square metres per hour in CMYK mode. The ‘EUV-H’ (hard) and ‘EUV-A’ (flexible) inks are available in CMYK, white, primer and gloss configurations. The IO-300 supports materials such as polycarbonate, ABS, acrylic, PVC, glass, aluminium, stainless steel, wood, leather and rubber. The included VersaWorks RIP software and Roland DG Connect print management software provide a complete production solution that is ready for immediate use.
VersaObject RC-300
The new VersaObject RC-300 series enables users to print graphics directly onto bottles, mugs, drinking vessels, tins and other promotional, packaging and consumer goods, including objects with conical and irregular shapes. The LED UV inkjet printers are available in two models: the RC-300 and the RC-300c. The RC-300c is designed for printing on transparent bottles and supports drinks brands and packaging specialists. The RC-300 printer is compatible with glass, PET, aluminium, steel and hard plastics.
