AI-powered inline inspection from EyeC

EyeC, a global provider of automated artwork verification and printed image inspection systems, announces the launch of the new EyeC ProofRunner Evo. The modular inline system for common label formats and rollstock combines AI technology with a flexible, scalable system design. The premiere will take place at Labelexpo Europe 2025 at EyeC stand 5B11.

The modular design of the EyeC ProofRunner Evo allows users to start with a basic configuration and gradually expand the system to the more powerful HighLight or HighLight UHD variants as requirements increase. The existing hardware remains unchanged. While a high-resolution 4K colour line scan camera ensures pixel-perfect print image inspection, the lighting concept allows the lighting units to be replaced.

The ProofRunner Evo is equipped with advanced AI technology as standard. Content-based error classification enables the system to detect relevant quality deviations, automatically categorise them and reliably filter out insignificant deviations, while increasing processing speed and reducing the number of false positives.

‘With the EyeC ProofRunner Evo, we are realising our vision of an intelligent and scalable inspection solution,’ explains Tim Wedemeier, Product Manager Inline Inspection at EyeC GmbH. ‘Our aim was to develop a future-orientated system that already delivers maximum performance today and is flexible enough to keep pace with the growing requirements of our customers.’
