With Proofiler Graphic Connect, EyeC GmbH is introducing a fully cloud-based, system- and hardware-independent prepress inspection software solution to the market. This SaaS solution enables automated PDF-to-PDF comparisons for key prepress use cases. It allows prepress companies and departments to integrate quality checks into their existing production processes with greater transparency and flexibility.
As a fully cloud-based inspection package, the software automatically and precisely compares print-ready and step-and-repeat files against approved reference files. Tailored to specific prepress requirements, the system inspects graphic content, barcodes, and Braille on customer, print, and imposition PDFs; it identifies discrepancies and facilitates the approval process while minimizing manual effort. Proofiler Graphic Connect can be seamlessly integrated into workflow systems via a standardized REST API interface, allowing inspection jobs to be launched directly from the workflow without any user interaction. Finally, results and identified discrepancies are automatically transmitted back to the workflow system and visualized within its user interface. This approach enables quality-related decisions to be made directly within the workflow, eliminating the need to operate the inspection software itself.
If user intervention is required, the system automatically directs the user to the specific area in question. Thanks to an intuitive user interface, results can be quickly reviewed, evaluated, and approved. Subsequently, the workflow automatically resumes the process. All evaluations and decisions are reported back to the workflow system, ensuring a complete and unbroken audit trail.
