Mimaki Europe, a manufacturer of industrial inkjet printers and cutting plotters, has unveiled the JFX220-2515 large-format printer and the small-format UJF200 series (UJF200-3042 and UJF200-6042). The printers are equipped with RasterLink8, Mimaki’s latest RIP and workflow management software.
Building on the JFX200 series, the JFX220-2515 enhances automation, whilst automatic positioning pins enable the media to be positioned. The four-printhead configuration enables dual CMYK printing at production speeds of up to 42 square metres per hour. Furthermore, the JFX220-2515 offers a print area of 2,500 x 1,500 mm and can print on materials up to 101.6 mm thick. Fluorescent EFS-150 inks enable graphics for retail, advertising and wayfinding applications. LD4 mode allows printing at a distance of up to 20 mm from the print head, whilst the 2.5D Texture Maker enables print finishes.
The UJF200-3042 and UJF200-6042 printers are fitted with high-precision print heads. Furthermore, the UJF200 series can be used to print directly onto objects up to 250 mm in height and weighing up to 20 kg, such as hand luggage or PC cases. The printers can also be fitted with camera systems that detect the position of the media and align the print images accordingly. The UJF200-6042 can be fitted with a belt feed system, enabling integration into industrial production environments.
RasterLink8
RasterLink8, a new generation of RIP and workflow software, offers, according to Mimaki, improved job management and automated camera alignment that positions print data. RasterLink8 supports workflows using fluorescent inks on the latest Mimaki printers. The software is compatible with models supported by RasterLink7.
Arjen Evertse, Director of Sales at Mimaki Europe, says: “Printing companies in the commercial and industrial sectors are under increasing pressure to handle more jobs with ever-shorter lead times, whilst simultaneously coping with rising costs and a shortage of skilled operators. The JFX220-2515 and the UJF200 series have been developed to simplify day-to-day production and reduce the need for manual intervention.”
TxF330-800
The latest addition to Mimaki’s new product range is the TxF330-800, a direct-to-film printer designed for textile finishing applications. The TxF330-800 features automated maintenance, a 16-cartridge ink system and increased white ink capacity.
New inks in Sky Blue and Pale Pink expand the printer’s colour gamut and can deliver rich colours, smooth colour gradients and precise colour reproduction.
“The TxF330-800 is the ideal solution for print service providers looking to expand their offering to include digital textile finishing, as well as for companies already established in this market but requiring continuous, stable and high-quality printing operations,” adds Evertse.
