Intergraf, in collaboration with Smithers, invites professionals from the European book, printing and publishing value chain to attend the Shaping the Future with Books conference. The event will take place on 19 February 2026 at the Cardo Hotel in Brussels.
The conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers and innovators to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in the book ecosystem and offer networking opportunities in an informal setting.
Participants can expect a comprehensive industry overview with insights into the European book market, consumer behaviour and reading habits, the strategic importance of print in the digital age, EU policies, sustainable book production, distribution and localisation models, and innovations in book design and engagement. The programme includes contributions from Smithers, European publishers and printers, leading academics, online book influencers and a representative from the European Commission. The full-day event will be preceded by a welcome cocktail reception on Wednesday, 18 February. Participants will receive a European Book Market Report compiled by Smithers, which contains an analysis of current data and trends affecting the book sector of the printing industry.
