Roland DG Corporation, a leading global provider of digital printing solutions, has announced the launch of the TrueVis VG4 Series, a new generation of eco-solvent printing and cutting machines for sign makers and print service providers.
The TrueVis VG4 series is available in the VG4-540 and VG4-640 models. At the same time, Roland DG is expanding the availability of TR3 eco-solvent ink for the TrueVis product range. According to Roland DG, the TrueVis VG4 series delivers enhanced image quality and ensures sharper details and smoother colour gradients through precise ink droplet control. With the market launch, the ‘Red’ and ‘Light Black TR3’ inks are now available for the TrueVis VG4 series and the TrueVis XG-640. The ink options Orange, Green, Light Cyan, Light Magenta and White remain available.
The TrueVis VG4 series introduces workflow innovations that can reduce set-up times and minimise downtime. With Roland DG Connect, jobs can be managed remotely, and the TrueVis VG4 series comes with VersaWorks 7, the latest RIP software for Windows and macOS. With fast processing, native PDF 2.0 support and advanced colour tools, VersaWorks 7 can help achieve precise results. Long-run printing and cutting workflows are supported by a take-up unit and perforation and sheet-cutting functions.
Improved ink utilisation and optimised print modes can reduce ink consumption by up to 30 per cent. The TR3 inks are GBL-free and come in cardboard cartridges. Prints are GREENGUARD Gold certified and are therefore suitable for indoor environments such as retail, hospitality and public spaces.
“With the TrueVis VG4 series, we have focused on delivering what matters most to signmakers today – outstanding image quality, predictable colours and a smarter, more efficient workflow,” said Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer of the Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG. The new TrueVis VG4 series with TR3 inks is the first product launch under Roland DG’s new “Make Your Mark” brand identity. The new branding is intended to mark the strategic shift towards providing complete printing ecosystems.
