For almost 30 years, Fogra’s UV Printing Symposium has been a fixture in the industry. On 28 and 29 October 2026, the event will take place for the 14th time in Munich Aschheim, offering UV printing professionals and newcomers alike a platform to learn about the latest developments and exchange ideas.
The UV Printing Symposium showcases a variety of application areas. This year, the focus is on the challenges of the technology and its environmental impact. In addition, there will be insights into practical applications and developments in consumables. As in previous years, a broader perspective will also be provided.
Volker Selg from the Hoenle Group says: “An inspiring range of presentations from across the entire UV industry, perfectly organised and featuring a successful mix of users and suppliers – a highlight for everyone involved.” Beatrix Genest from the Saxon Institute for the Printing Industry adds to the practical relevance: “I think everyone in the audience was able to take away ideas for their day-to-day work.”
The first presentations have already been confirmed:
“From exclusionary policies to the EuPIA Charter”, Katrin Mohr from the Association of the German Coatings and Printing Inks Industry
“Migration in radiation-curing products”, Dr Monika Rüter from FABES Forschungs-GmbH
“Deinkability of UV printing inks for food packaging”, Dr Jörg Adams from Sunchemical
“(UV) Printing Products – Sensible or an Environmental Burden?”, Mario Drechsler from Highendmedia
“Future Requirements for UV Systems”, Volker Selg from Hoenle Group
“Innovative Curing Control”, Frank Betzinger from Novomatics
“What Can Happen to Paper During a Sudden Machine Shutdown”, Axel Mayer from BG ETEM
This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Dr Michael Has of Monopertus on “Printing in times of ecological change”. In addition, the symposium offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with others in the industry and to network. Those who act quickly can still benefit from the early bird discount until 30 May.
