Heimtextil 2026
TRAPIS textile printing system by Mimaki

Mimaki Europe, a leading supplier of industrial inkjet printers and cutting plotters, will be presenting a wide range of materials and textile production at Heimtextil in Frankfurt from 13 to 16 January 2026 (Hall 3.0, Stand A97). The focus will be on the TRAPIS pigment transfer textile printing system, which can be used to print on a wide range of fabric types with a single set of inks, from natural fibres to blended fabrics and synthetic materials.

‘The system opens up numerous new possibilities for manufacturers and gives them the operational flexibility they so desperately need – without material restrictions and overly complex workflows,’ says Arjen Evertse, Director of Sales at Mimaki Europe. “With TRAPIS, users are able to print on a wide range of textiles with a single set of inks – something that is simply not possible with conventional methods. And with no pre-treatment, no washing of textiles and minimal infrastructure required, TRAPIS is an affordable solution for businesses of all sizes. The significantly lower water consumption is a major plus point. However, the biggest advantage lies in the ease of producing short runs and personalised, localised prints on almost any textile.”

Visitors to the trade fair can see for themselves the two-stage pigment transfer printing process at the Mimaki stand, which consists of a Mimaki TS330-1600 with integrated heating element, TP410 inks and a high-pressure calender. Among other things, cotton, viscose, polyester, blended fabrics and synthetic materials can be printed. This is in contrast to sublimation printing, which is limited to polyester-based textiles. The TRAPIS workflow offers users a sustainable solution that can reduce water consumption by up to 90 per cent. TRAPIS pigment inks are ZDHC MRSL Level 3 certified and bluesign® APPROVED.
