Kodak has announced the world’s first sale of the new KODAK MAGNUS Q3600 Titan platesetter at drupa 2024. Imprimerie Pollina, based in Luçon, France, has opted for the innovative large format platesetter with multi-pallet loader (MPL) automation.
According to Kodak, the MAGNUS Q3600 Titan is one of the most versatile large format CTP systems on the market with the ability to hold eight different plate formats online simultaneously. With a footprint a third smaller than other competitor models, the platesetter is designed to enable printers to reduce their footprint. It is equipped with Fusion Drive, which enables faster and more accurate positioning of the KODAK SQUARESPOT imaging head.
“By investing in the new MAGNUS Q3600 Titan platesetter, we are significantly modernising and streamlining our plate making process. We have long been impressed with the consistency and precise reproducibility of KODAK SQUARESPOT imaging technology. What we particularly like about the new large format platesetter is the speed of the imaging and register punching system. And the new, simpler pallet loading process of the multi-pallet loader is also a very welcome improvement,” explains Laurent Pollina, President, who runs the company together with his brothers Stéphane and Paul-Alain.
“We are delighted that our long-standing customer Imprimerie Pollina will be the first to benefit from the high productivity, automation and plate format flexibility of the MAGNUS Q3600 Titan platesetter. Our latest CTP system is a perfect solution for printers with large plate formats and volumes and sets a new benchmark in the VLF category,” says Denisse Goldbarg, Kodak Chief Marketing Officer and Head of EAMER.
