BVDM Economic Telegram 8/24 – Business climate rises to 2-year high
Following the increase in July, the mood among companies in the German print and media industry improved again in August. The business climate index calculated by the German Printing and Media Industries Federation recorded a seasonally and calendar-adjusted increase of around 3.5 per cent compared to the previous month. At 96.1 points, the index reached its highest level since the start of the Ukraine war in February 2022 and was therefore around 9.7 per cent above the previous year’s level. The improvement in the business climate was largely determined by the rise in business expectations?

High-end drying technology from adphos

The convection drying system, which previously ran on fossil fuels, will be replaced by the all-electric aNIR® drying solution.

Roll to roll screen printing KINZEL’s new large format printer
KINZEL Printing Systems GmbH from Bielefeld, which has been active in the R2R screen printing sector for more than 30 years, is launching another printing line for large formats. A roll-to-roll flatbed screen printing line for a maximum print format of 175 x 325 cm (WxL) was developed in close co-operation with the customer. The print format can be freely preselected in width and length according to requirements.
From newcomer to sales hit Composite MAX GLASS ECO from KARL MAYER
With the MAX GLASS ECO, KARL MAYER offers a production machine for the manufacture of standard items made from glass fibres, in particular fabrics for the wind power industry. The machine can be adapted to the requirements of different application areas using optional functions and combines short amortisation times with high efficiency. At a maximum speed of 1,800 rpm, up to 410 m/h can be produced at a working width of 101’. Since the launch of the MAX GLASS ECO at JEC World in March this year, several machines have already been sold.
