KODAK PROSPER
High-quality, high-speed imprinting

Today, printing services can be enhanced with high-speed inkjet printing without investing in specialised digital presses. For print businesses looking to adapt to changing market and customer demands, utilising inkjet imprinting technologies can be an option.

KODAK PROSPER imprinting systems allow existing offset, flexo and gravure presses and finishing equipment to be upgraded with digital printing capabilities. Analogue presses can be enabled to integrate variable data or changing information and content into static print images for a variety of applications.

The KODAK PROSPER enables print widths that are scalable in 105 mm increments using multiple PROSPER printheads at print speeds up to 300 m/min. The integration solution offers automatic colour registration, which reduces waste and reprints. According to Kodak, the Smart Stitch functionality ensures consistently high print quality. The KODAK PROSPER Print Bar is available for monochrome and CMYK printing and for a wide range of applications and print widths.

The print heads used in the PROSPER Print Bar use KODAK EKTACOLOR inks and work with KODAK Stream Continuous Inkjet technology, which enables high print speeds and colour coverage even on glossy substrates. Kodak’s nanoparticle milling process produces pigments with an average size of less than 50 nm, which, according to the manufacturer, results in intense colours and long-lasting printed images. EKTACOLOR inks are available for both pigment and dye-based applications. In addition, EKTACOLOR inks are environmentally friendly and are characterised by a low humectant content and deinkable formulations.
