Sawgrass, a global leader in digital decoration technology, has launched VersiFlex™, a system that combines the strengths of sublimation, DTG and DTF, enabling professionals to print on virtually any surface, from cotton and linen to ceramics, wood, metal, acrylic and vinyl.
Print on almost any material
VersiFlex™ is designed to solve the dilemma of using multiple systems for different materials. The patented ink set and specially developed transfer papers enable vibrant, durable prints on a wide range of substrates. According to Sawgrass, VersiFlex™ can be used to realise high-resolution, brilliant designs on natural textiles such as cotton, linen and denim. At the same time, the system is said to enable transfers to hard surfaces such as wood, ceramics, metal and slate.
Developed for corporate use
Sawgrass has designed VersiFlex™ for on-demand producers, boutique printers and custom merchandisers in Europe. The system is designed to help lower total cost of ownership, reduce consumables, eliminate pre-treatment steps and minimise maintenance. ‘With VersiFlex™, we are closing the long-standing gap between professional output quality and the practical requirements of modern production workflows,’ explains Thomas Kirschner, President Global Sales at Sawgrass. ‘Creative professionals, small businesses and on-demand producers no longer have to choose between quality, versatility and simplicity. This platform combines the power of multiple systems – sublimation, DTF and DTG – into one compact, affordable and scalable solution.’ Joel, owner of a print business in the UK adds: ‘This is the hybrid system we’ve been waiting for. No drying, no pre-treatment, no powder – just brilliant colours, from cotton shirts to slate coasters.’
