Highly skilled professionals will present ground-breaking advances in screen printing for electronics, security printing and green energy solutions at the SPI Innovation Theatre from 3-5 June 2025 at Messe Essen, Germany.
Organised by ESMA, the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association, Screen Print Innovations (SPI) is the world’s leading screen printing event. Unlike other trade shows, SPI is the premier platform exclusively for screen printing experts. The event brings together industry leaders, researchers and innovators to present the latest developments and showcase the wide range of applications in the fields of electronics, security printing and sustainable energy solutions.
Screen printing for 5G/6G antennas
Sebastian Gepp, Head of Development for Printed Electronics at Kundisch, will discuss how screen printing enables transparent conductive patterns that are essential for next-generation 5G and 6G antennas. In his presentation, he will demonstrate how this technology improves connectivity and supports future advances in telecommunications.
Security printing with the ScreenX screen process
Jan Rother, Managing Director of FM Siebdruck Werbung Design GmbH, will present the ScreenX screen process. The innovative technology integrates logos, characters and symbols into screen dots and makes security printing more forgery-proof and more difficult to reproduce, which benefits security-critical applications.
Screen printing for fuel cells and electrolysers
Dr Eric Klemp, Head of Fuel Cells and Additive Manufacturing at Whitecell Eisenhuth, will talk about how screen printing is accelerating the production of fuel cells and electrolysers. His presentation will focus on the role of screen printing in the production of bipolar plates with high conductivity and low permeability to drive sustainable energy solutions.
The future of screen printing
The advances presented by the keynote speakers in the SPI Innovation Theatre highlight the transformative potential of screen printing across numerous industries. Industry professionals, researchers and innovators are invited to attend these presentations to gain valuable insights into the latest technological trends. Registration is free of charge.
ESMA
ESMA has been active in the industrial printing sector since 1990 and, as a European association for screen and digital printing manufacturers, has developed into an organisation representing industrial, functional and speciality printing. Over the years, ESMA has developed the concept of the Knowledge Hub, which today provides cross-technology expertise to almost 70 European manufacturer members and technology partners. Every ESMA member enjoys favourable conditions at the major trade fairs and ESMA’s own conferences. Other benefits include access to technical seminars and committee meetings. Partners and members receive support and promotion in relation to health, safety and environmental regulations and participate in the setting of industry standards.
