Fujifilm has announced a global strategic partnership with ePac Flexible Packaging, a leading international provider of digitally-driven flexible packaging solutions. At the heart of this collaboration is the Fujifilm Jet Press FP790, which will enable ePac to set new standards for high-volume digital printing, speed, and scalability across its global network.
The rollout begins with an installation at ePac’s state-of-the-art facility in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, with further locations worldwide to follow in subsequent phases of the project.
“ePac was founded on the firm belief that digital printing would redefine the global flexible packaging market,” explains Parag Patel, President of Shared Services at ePac Flexible Packaging. “By consistently integrating innovative technologies into our production fleet, we are able to significantly strengthen our capabilities and capacity for larger print runs. Our focus has always been on supporting the growth of brands through professional packaging solutions—and as a brand’s market presence evolves, so too do its requirements. Thanks to Fujifilm’s technology, we can offer brand owners of all sizes the proven flexibility of digital printing, delivered as part of a highly scalable, end-to-end flexible packaging solution.”
“This partnership brings together two true pioneers of digital transformation in the global packaging market,” says Osamu Nakashima, Corporate Vice President, Fujifilm Business Innovation Corp. “In the recent evolution of our portfolio, we have placed a strong focus on digital packaging solutions. Our latest flagship, the Jet Press FP790, is specifically designed to transform the production of flexible packaging. With its forward-looking business model, ePac is the ideal strategic partner to demonstrate this potential.”
The Jet Press FP790 was developed for the production of flexible packaging, including for longer print runs. It prioritizes image quality, color consistency, and compatibility with recyclable packaging materials. Featuring a native resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, it covers over 90% of the Pantone color gamut using eco-friendly, food-safe, water-based inks.
