Roland DG Corporation, a global provider of digital printing solutions, has unveiled technical and performance enhancements for its TY-300 direct-to-film printer. Designed for high-throughput garment production, the TY-300 offers increased ink capacity and improved white ink stability, according to Roland DG.
DTF printing requires high-density white ink, and the focus of the update was to double the capacity of the white ink tank, reducing the frequency of [LS1] changes. According to the manufacturer, the updated TY-300 maintains its high print speeds, which are made possible by the printer’s dual print head architecture, optimised output patterns and highly efficient drying control. Advanced colour management features, including Roland DG’s True Rich Colour technology, can provide a wide colour gamut, smooth colour gradients and stable grey tones, which is relevant for apparel designs with subtle colour variations.
The TY-300 integrates seamlessly with VersaWorks RIP, certified DTF films and powders, and Roland DG Care Support. The ink performance meets industry safety requirements, and Roland DG’s S-PG2 inks are OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certified, characterised by low waste, reduced consumption and stable wash resistance.
‘DTF continues to evolve at a remarkable pace, and we know that our customers rely on stable, high-performance systems that can withstand high production workloads,’ said Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division, Roland DG. ‘With the updated TY-300, we have improved core components that directly impact throughput, uptime and ink stability. These improvements ensure that the TY-300 remains the benchmark for technical performance and production efficiency in the DTF category.’
