RUCOINX presented its portfolio for glass and ceramic printing at glasstec 2024 in Düsseldorf. The presentation focussed on screen printing inks from the 937LED series for LED drying and universally applicable pad printing inks from the T28 series.
Series 937LED
According to RUCOINCX, two-component screen printing inks from the 937LED series are the answer to the increasing demand for printing inks for LED UV curing. As this curing method enables direct post-processing after printing, time savings can be achieved. In addition, in times of rising energy prices, cost savings are possible for lower energy requirements. As universal curing inks, the 937LED screen printing inks are suitable for processing on systems with LED technology and can be cured with conventional mercury or iron-doped standard UV lamps. Regardless of the curing method, inks from the 937LED series have excellent adhesion to glass, ceramics and metal and are highly resistant to chemicals, water and abrasion. According to the manufacturer, the colours impress with their high opacity and colour brilliance. The range of basic and special colours, supplemented by highly opaque white and black settings, enable extensive decoration options.
T28 series
The two-component pad printing inks from the T28 series formed the second focal point of the RUCOINX trade fair presentation. The universally applicable, solvent-based inks are ideal for decorating glass and metal and, thanks to their formulation, cure within 24 hours at room temperature or within 20 minutes with heat-forced drying in an oven at 80 °C. They also have excellent resistance to chemicals, alkalis and water. They also have outstanding resistance to chemicals, alkalis and water and are extremely resistant to dishwashers, ice water and frost, as well as being highly abrasion-resistant. With a wide range of basic colours, process colours for four-colour sets and highly opaque black and white formulations as well as various effect colours, attractive designs can be achieved with the T28 series.
Safety first
Screen printing inks from the 937LED series with future-orientated raw materials and T28 pad printing inks are also a good choice in terms of safety. Both series are free from phthalates, aromatic solvents, cyclohexanone, barium and bromine. They fulfil current industry standards and comply with the EuPIA exclusion list, the REACH regulation and the GADSL list as well as the European standard for toy safety EN 71-3.
