Metz Textilmarketing & Werbetechnik, a company based in south-west Germany, has invested in the HP Latex 730. The aim is to improve production efficiency, tap into new business areas and strengthen its position as a provider of branding and signage solutions.
Based in Pfullingen, near Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, the company specialises in signage, textile finishing and B2B branding solutions. The use of HP Latex technology has been an integral part of this strategy for many years. Initially, the company worked with two HP DesignJet L22500 printers, before these were supplemented by an HP Latex 335. To further expand production, Metz decided to invest in an HP Latex 730 printer. With a maximum print width of 1.63 metres, the HP Latex 730 enables the production of applications for various markets. Print speeds of up to 31 square metres per hour in outdoor mode, as well as the ability to process a wide variety of materials, underline the system’s flexibility. This enables Metz to produce everything from full vehicle wraps, vehicle lettering, shop window graphics, stickers, labels, posters and banners to exhibition graphics, interior designs, signage films and other graphics.
The environmental aspects of the HP Latex 730 also played a part in the investment decision. All HP Latex printers use water-based HP Latex inks, which are designed to be sustainable, odourless and more environmentally friendly than solvent, eco-solvent or UV-based ink systems.
“We were looking for a reliable, modern and versatile printing solution that would meet the requirements of our wide range of applications,” explains Michael Metz, Managing Director of Metz. “For us, the main priorities were print quality, production reliability, media versatility and the ability to process prints quickly. Furthermore, we were impressed by its compact design and front-facing operation. Overall, the HP Latex 730 is a key component of our modern production environment. It enables us to respond quickly to customer requirements and offer new applications.”
