The Bielefeld-based company KINZEL Printing Systems has introduced a new 2-colour label screen printing line. A team of designers and qualified employees have combined the latest technology and innovations with more than 40 years of web screen printing experience to create a compact label screen printing line. The new flatbed screen printing concept (line) opens up the possibility of increasing quality and functionality.
According to KINZEL, new electronic components characterise the printing line, which includes touch panel operation and a freely programmable control system with the option of saving job-related order and printing parameters. Other features include pneumatic screen clamping, adjustable squeegee pressure, squeegee angle adjustment up to 30°, high-quality linear guidance of the print and flood squeegee, separately adjustable material and squeegee paths, a registration system for print-to-print or print-to-punch accuracy and electric screen frame adjustment.
According to the manufacturer, the maximum printing speed of the ‘compact’ screen printing line is up to 4,000 prints per hour, which corresponds to up to 1,000 metres per hour with a print length of 250 mm. It is possible to simultaneously print several colours, dry, automatically laminate, die-cut and cut lengthwise. If required, the ‘compact’ screen printing line can be equipped with six or more colours, hot stamping, additional laminating units, a light control surface, a label counter and an integrated cross-cutting unit. It is also possible to customise the screen printing line to the customer’s specifications.
