Kornit Digital LTD, a global pioneer in sustainable, digital fashion and textile production technologies, has announced that Grunt Style – an American patriotic apparel brand – is making the move from analogue screen printing to digital production with Kornit Apollo.
Founded in 2009, Grunt Style has built a loyal following with disruptive marketing and high-quality apparel. With 17 retail shops and distribution to more than 2,500 locations, it needed a production solution that could scale with e-commerce and retail demand.
The Kornit Apollo direct-to-garment platform was developed to meet such demands in terms of speed and flexibility. It is capable of producing up to 400 garments per hour, automated garment loading and unloading, automated pallet shifting by garment size and a one-step system that can be controlled by one operator.
‘Speed, efficiency and quality are critical to our success at Grunt Style – and Kornit Apollo delivers. With the ability to manage fully-automated, on-demand production, we can now balance stock shortages, produce at record speed and scale seamlessly – without compromising our commitment to quality garments,’ said Bill Hammond, CFO/COO at Grunt Style.
‘Apparel isn’t just about the clothes, it’s about a new form of self-expression. That’s why brands like Grunt Style have become so popular, as consumers want to share their love of country and community with great looking garments,’ said Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer at Kornit Digital. ‘For brands and producers, speed and flexibility are the key factors that drive success in today’s apparel market – and Apollo is designed from the ground up to fulfil these requirements. With Apollo, there are virtually no limits to what our customers can achieve. This is the future of on-demand production.’
