In industrial DTF production, it is becoming increasingly clear that bottlenecks in scaling arise less from the printing technology itself and more from a lack of process stability. Unsynchronised processes, variable thermal conditions and manual handover points often lead to inconsistent quality, downtime and inefficient capacity utilisation.
Print Equipment offers a fully integrated DTF inline production line that brings all process steps together in a synchronised system. Depending on the production volume, multiple printing systems can be integrated via conveyor belts. Existing systems and printing solutions from different manufacturers can also be integrated into the production line.
The ‘Duster’ automation unit plays a central role, integrated into the in-line process between the printing system and the drying unit. This is where the hot-melt adhesive is applied and the transfers are cut to their final size. At the same time, the system ensures the material is fed evenly into the dryer and stabilises throughput times. Different heat or time settings can be applied. At the end of the line, a stacker handles the automated stacking of the produced transfers. Alternatively, depending on requirements, other automation solutions can also be integrated. Subsequent processing is carried out via the Columbia transfer press carousel, which integrates functions such as automated transfer loading, peeling of the transfers and removal of the textile, enabling industrial-scale processing.
For users, this results in consistent transfer quality, high process reliability even with varying batch sizes, and improved energy efficiency through centrally controlled drying. The in-line production system has a modular design and can be individually adapted to existing production environments.
