CBS coating technology
for pigment printing and sun protection

“A very good decision to exhibit at R+T,” was the feedback after Multi-Plot’s participation at R+T in Stuttgart, the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors and sun protection.

From 15 to 19 February, the specialist for digital textile printing systems provided information on the wide range of options for printing outdoor and indoor textiles, such as privacy and sun protection, roller blinds, curtains, screens and awnings. Multi-Plot and its Korean partner d.gen also presented the “Teleios OMNI Pro” printing machine, which demonstrated printing with pigment ink and the new CBS coating technology. CBS (Colour Boosting Solutions) is a liquid that is used separately in the tank system and is applied to the material by the print head during the printing process. CBS can be used to digitally print on any type of fabric, such as cotton, blended fabrics, synthetic fibres and Nomex, without any special pre-treatment. The live demonstrations of the printing machine with this technology delighted visitors.

Additional features, such as a work step with online fixing, high light fastness of the printing inks, good washability after printing or Ökotex 100 certification, were also convincing. The “Teleios OMNI Pro” printed on fabrics from Junkers and Müllers and produced colourful textile products that are versatile for indoor and outdoor use. For the first time, printing on acrylic awning fabric, abrasion-resistant and UV-stable, was also shown.
