The Durst Group has acquired a majority stake in Triple C Labs GmbH, the company behind the CoCoCo Platform. The CoCoCo Platform will remain an independent entity—retaining its existing brand and management while honoring all customer commitments—and will continue to be open to OEMs, software providers, and print production customers.
The transaction supports Kyveris, the Durst Group’s industrial software and AI stack for connected print production. Kyveris provides the practical framework for physical processes, color management, and orchestration that transforms installed printing presses into data-driven production environments. The CoCoCo Platform adds the horizontal integration layer—a data network based on JDF and JMF that connects printing presses, prepress systems, and manufacturing software to create an AI-enabled production ecosystem. At the heart of CoCoCo lies an event-driven data model; printing presses, prepress systems, and software align on the definition of a print job, enabling AI systems to reliably analyze and evaluate printing processes. The CoCoCo Platform remains vendor-neutral and open to the printing industry, continuing to welcome third-party providers, including competing OEMs and software partners.
Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of the Durst Group, explains: “The right answer to complex production landscapes is rarely ‘more machines.’ Instead, it is about gaining greater clarity regarding the machines already in operation. That is precisely what CoCoCo has created: a common data language that can genuinely be shared by printing presses, prepress systems, and shop-floor software. Dashboards, automation, and AI assistants are downstream considerations; once the data model is right, the rest falls into place naturally. We are joining forces to accelerate the roadmap. And we are keeping the CoCoCo platform open, because a ‘data fabric’—an interconnected data system—that isn’t open isn’t a network. It’s a fence.”
