The new Fogra Academy programme has been published. The twelve training courses in spring and autumn are aimed at experienced professionals as well as newcomers from print shops, publishing houses, agencies and the supply industry. The range of topics covers Fogra’s core competencies: colour management, printing and finishing.
At almost 60 years old, Fogra’s training courses are as up-to-date as ever. This is because the content is regularly updated and adapted to meet current challenges. For example, the basic printing technology seminar has been given a general overhaul. Not only are the various printing processes presented in a new and streamlined format. Participants will also receive background knowledge on materials and colours as well as the work steps from prepress to finishing. In addition to the basic training, the topics will be covered in greater depth. For example, colour management is examined from the perspectives of digital, multicolour and 3D printing. In printing and finishing, it will be shown how to avoid errors or optimise processes. And another seminar will show how AI is used in media design.
What all courses have in common is that they work in manageable groups, which facilitates lively discussions. Processes are first illustrated in theory and then in practice. Be it working with colour measuring devices, looking into the printing press or the running printing operation.
To make it easier for companies to provide their employees with comprehensive training, Fogra offers discounts from the second course or person. In addition, participants can repeat what they have learnt with selected online courses from the Fogra Web Academy.
The next courses:
5-7 March Basics of Printing Technology
5-6 March Basics of offset printing
15 April AI for media designers
16-17 April Basics of colour management
