On 21 and 22 May 2025, Fogra invites you to the 8th ‘Digital Printing Meets Offset’ symposium in Munich-Aschheim. Experts will contribute to an exciting programme on digital and offset printing with their presentations. From sustainability to AI, from personalisation to print finishing, seven sessions will cover important topics for everyday printing. Speakers from industry and research will shed light on various aspects from different perspectives with a practical perspective.
The two printing processes will kick things off with an explanation of which investments make sense and how synergies can be utilised. Exciting practical examples will explain how personalisation can be used profitably and how nanography can be used for this. Another thematic block will deal with the problematic interaction between ink and paper and the print quality that can be achieved with high-speed inkjet. The fourth session will look at print finishing with regard to handling short runs, JDF and perfect binding.
On the second day, the speakers will start with artificial intelligence and automation and show how these can be integrated into everyday printing and used for planning. They will also illustrate the impact these technologies have on increasing order volumes. They will explain how spot colours can be implemented and how they can be reproduced in digital printing. Finally, the various aspects of sustainability and whether these can be fulfilled by digital printing are discussed. These include the CO2 footprint and deinkability.
Numerous opportunities will offer participants the chance to exchange ideas and network. In the accompanying exhibition, they can find out about the innovations of the participating companies.
