The Tip Switch vacuum from swissQprint has been on the market since 2019 and has been patented. Both newer generations of swissQprint flatbed printers and all web printers from the Swiss manufacturer are equipped with it. The system enables quick and targeted adjustment of the vacuum that fixes media on the printing table.
Minimal makeready and masking effort
Depending on the model, the table of a swissQprint large-format printer is divided into up to 256 vacuum segments. Each individual segment can be switched on or off via a toggle switch (tip switch) with a light touch of the finger. Even between plates on the flatbed or between two webs in web printing. Setting up a print job is convenient and fast. Time-consuming masking is largely eliminated.
Power-saving
As a matter of principle, the vacuum in swissQprint systems is vacuum-controlled. This not only reduces noise emissions, but also energy consumption. The vacuum system is partly responsible for the fact that swissQprint large-format printers are highly energy-efficient, as evidenced by certificates in accordance with ISO standard 20690:2018.
