The Plockmatic Group has announced that it is moving the majority of its UK assembly operations from Milton Keynes to a purpose-built manufacturing, assembly and logistics facility in Latvia. The reason for this move is to focus even more on meeting customers’ requirements for cost-effective and highly productive finishing systems.
Further plans of the Plockmatic Group include the development of inline and offline finishing technologies to support the production of cut-sheet toner and inkjet devices. The warehousing, research and development, service and sales/marketing operations of the Morgana Systems subsidiary will remain in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

To continue our growth, we need to place the right resources in the most suitable geographical locations to capitalise on economies of scale and expertise. For our customers, we always want to offer the best technical and most cost-effective solution and help our growing customer base to find the right solution for their business, whether in-line or off-line. With the introduction of new products – such as new booklet making systems like the BLM7000, energy efficient LED UV coaters and a range of new folding machines with integrated slitting technology, feeders and compensating stackers also designed for the long sheet market – we need to take advantage of our leaner production facility in Riga.”
