Sustainability reporting – BVDM informs

In an online event on 20 November 2024, the German Printing and Media Industries Federation (BVDM), together with the German Sustainability Code (DNK) and the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH), will provide information on sustainability reporting in 2025. The reason for this is the massive expansion of the group of companies that will have to prepare a sustainability report from the 2025 financial year or are likely to be asked by their customers to submit sustainability declarations. The event will provide an overview of the legal requirements and what support companies can receive for sustainability reporting.

T-Shirt & Sons increases production with Kornit Apollo

Kornit Digital LTD, a global provider of sustainable, on-demand digital technologies for fashion and textile production, has announced that T-Shirt & Sons (TSS), a European apparel manufacturer based in the UK and the Netherlands, is utilising Kornit Apollo to support its transition from traditional screen printing to digital production. The addition of Kornit MAX systems will enable TSS to significantly expand production capacity, increase speed and reduce time to market.

Roland DG and BWT Alpine F1® – The Wrap Academy

Roland DG, a leading global provider of digital printing solutions, has announced its collaboration with long-time technology partner BWT Alpine F1 Team in the search for Europe’s next best car wrap. A workshop will be held on 7 November 2024 at Alpine’s technical centre in Oxfordshire, UK. Ten car wrappers from Europe have been invited to the event, called ‘The Wrap Academy’.

EU Deforestation Regulation – Postponement is not enough

At the beginning of October 2024, the EU Commission announced that it would postpone the application of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) by one year. The Bundesverband Druck und Medien e.V. (BVDM) welcomes this decision, but points out that the postponement of application does not solve the fundamental problems associated with the EUDR.
